FAQ
- 01A virtual private clinic is a healthcare service that allows you to consult with healthcare professionals online. You can access care via video call, telephone, or secure messaging. These clinics offer services such as medical diagnoses, medical advice, prescriptions, referrals to specialists, and follow-up care. As private services, they can offer faster access (appointments available in less than 24 hours), flexible hours, and a more personalized approach than public services. This allows you to benefit from practical, confidential and accessible care, wherever you are.

- 03Primary care represents the first point of contact with the health system and is intended for patients of all ages. It includes general health services offered by qualified professionals, such as family doctors, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals. These services include routine checkups, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of common health problems, preventive care (such as screenings), and management of chronic conditions. Your primary care provider can also refer you to resources or specialists when necessary.

- 05Virtual care is not suitable for emergencies or situations requiring a physical examination or immediate intervention. This includes severe chest pain, stroke, difficulty breathing, significant injuries, or any serious symptoms. In these cases, it is important to go to the emergency room or call emergency services.
- 06Even in private practice, healthcare professionals must adhere to standards of practice and clinical guidelines. Tests, treatments, and medications are prescribed only when medically appropriate and necessary. Your professional will assess your situation and propose evidence-based care, taking into account your health needs and best practices, just as in any other clinical setting.
- 07Virtual clinics can prescribe a variety of medically necessary tests, including blood tests and imaging tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, computed tomography (CT scan) or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), when appropriate. Prescriptions are based on your symptoms, medical history, and clinical assessment. The healthcare professional will only request tests that are necessary and appropriate for virtual care, when the condition can be managed remotely.
